The short version: the right air purifier for your home depends on three things — the square footage of the room you want to clean, the type of particles you need to remove, and how much ongoing cost you're willing to absorb in filter replacements and electricity. Everything else is secondary.
Step 1: Measure Your Room
Every air purifier is rated for a maximum room size, and getting this wrong is the most common mistake buyers make. A unit rated for 200 square feet will cycle the air too slowly in a 400-square-foot living room to make a meaningful difference.
